The idea is to have a clean poster appearance with a strong direct light pointed at the front, making a strong shadow at the back, with dirt and mess dwelling in the shadows. It would symbolise the difference between the clean appearance they display versus the shitty reality of their 'background' (food, management, cunning marketing and world impact).
